διὸ μᾶλλον, ἀδελφοί, σπουδάσατε βεβαίαν ὑμῶν τὴν κλῆσιν καὶ ἐκλογὴν ποιεῖσθαι· ταῦτα γὰρ ποιοῦντες οὐ μὴ πταίσητέ ποτε.

Therefore, brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure; for if you do these things you will never stumble.

Inference (the exhortation renewed)διὸδιό draws the practical conclusion: confirm your calling and election by these very virtues. Election is God's, yet made 'sure' to the believer by a fruitful life; the double negative οὐ μή with the aorist subjunctive gives an emphatic promise — 'you will surely never stumble.'
