The Second Epistle of Peter, Chapter 2ΠΕΤΡΟΥ Β′ Β′

But false prophets also arose among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you, who will smuggle in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction —

and in greed they will exploit you with fabricated words. Their judgment, long since, is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Motive (greed) and verdictκαὶTheir motive is named — greed — worked through manufactured arguments that 'merchandise' the flock; then the verdict snaps forward in two personified negations: the long-prepared judgment is not idle, the destruction not dozing.
